Owner & Psychotherapist
Most of my clients are women and/or part of the perinatal population (trying to conceive, raising kids, infertility, loss, etc.).
My therapy style is flexible and person centered. I will show you how to be vulnerable and genuine by showing up that way myself! I laugh with clients, while also being curious about what is pulling them towards comedy. I will meet you where you are, while also finding times to push you out of your comfort zone a bit; after all, that's where change begins. I ask questions and actively listen to begin making connections. I take pride in my work and care deeply about my clients. I continuously challenge myself as a therapist by seeking supervision, engaging in training, reading, and going to therapy myself; how can I help and encourage you to dive deeper if I’m not also willing to do the work myself? I know just how tough it can be to dig some of those “messier” parts of your life up. The journey is not always easy, but it can be so rewarding.
I‘m a mom myself, so I get the parenting thing. It's tough, to say the least. I know it can be difficult to reach out for help and make changes. Personal growth isn't always easy, but it can be so worth it and bit easier when you have someone walking with you. I'd love to be that person for you, creating a safe space along the way.
Although I have personal and professional experience in the field of mental health, I know that each persons journey will always be a unique one. No two people are exactly the same, which is why I am always curious to learn more about my clients, while walking along side their journey. You are the expert on your own life. I am here to help you tap into that expertise!
Traveling and lifting weights are a couple things that feed my soul. People that know me well would describe me as ambitious, caring, thoughtful and perhaps a bit sassy.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I received my bachelor’s degree from UW-Milwukee and my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Capella University. I am currently working towards my Certification in Perinatal Mental Health. I pride myself on staying up to date with continued learning through books, trainings, podcasts, etc.
I believe that here's always more to learn, which I'm motivated by!
