Owner of Mindfulnest Counseling & Psychotherapist specializing in anxiety counseling, maternal mental health, and trauma therapy.
Most of my clients are women and part of the perinatal population, including those trying to conceive, raising kids, or dealing with infertility and loss. Many seek anxiety counseling and trauma therapy to support their maternal mental health.
My therapy style is flexible and person-centered, focusing on areas such as anxiety counseling and maternal mental health. I will show you how to be vulnerable and genuine by demonstrating that myself! I laugh with clients while also being curious about what draws them to comedy. I will meet you where you are in your journey, while also finding times to gently push you out of your comfort zone; after all, that's where real change begins. I ask questions and actively listen to foster connections. I take pride in my work and care deeply about my clients. I continuously challenge myself as a therapist by seeking supervision, engaging in training, reading, and going to therapy myself. How can I help and encourage you to dive deeper into trauma therapy if I’m not also willing to do the work myself? I know just how tough it can be to uncover some of those 'messier' parts of your life. The journey is not always easy, but it can be incredibly rewarding.
I‘m a mom myself, so I understand the challenges of parenting, especially when it comes to maternal mental health. It's tough, to say the least. I know it can be difficult to reach out for help and make changes. Personal growth isn't always easy, but it can be so worth it and a bit easier when you have someone walking with you. I would love to be that person for you, creating a safe space along the way.
Although I have personal and professional experience in anxiety counseling and trauma therapy, I recognize that each person's journey is unique. No two individuals are exactly the same, which is why I am always curious to learn more about my clients while walking alongside their journey. You are the expert on your own life, and I am here to help you tap into that expertise!
Traveling and lifting weights are a couple of things that feed my soul. People who know me well would describe me as ambitious, caring, thoughtful, and perhaps a bit sassy.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) specializing in anxiety counseling and maternal mental health. I received my bachelor’s degree from UW-Milwaukee and my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Capella University. Currently, I am working towards my Certification in Perinatal Mental Health, as I am deeply committed to understanding the complexities of maternal mental health. I pride myself on staying updated with continued learning through books, trainings, podcasts, and more, particularly in the areas of trauma therapy. I believe that there's always more to learn, which motivates me!
